Family business Distinction wins industry award

Here at the Family Business Awards, we love to celebrate the ongoing successes of organisations that have been involved with our awards. Digital agency Distinction, run by brothers James and Greg Bloor, recently won a coveted Kentico Site of the Year award for the website that they built for their client, Recorded Books.

The Kentico Site of the Year awards are some of the biggest and most competitive accolades that agencies in the digital industry using Kentico software can receive. They highlight key projects which have featured use of Kentico software and subsequently produced staggering results for their clients. Recorded Books are one of the world’s leading suppliers of audiobooks and Distinction worked with them to redesign and rebuild their old website in order to significantly improve the user experience. This project produced fantastic outcomes for Recorded Books, such as a 75% increase in sales and an average increase of 101% in time spent on the site. It’s easy to see why this project won in the category of Best Customer Success!

As well as winning in this category, Distinction were shortlisted in two other categories. The first of these was Best Migration for their work with law firm DMH Stallard and Best Online Marketing Implementation for their work with software organisation Union Square. The agency is extremely pleased to have received such a large amount of recognition for some of their most successful recent projects in this year’s Kentico Site of the Year awards.

We’re pleased to announce that, after their success in the 2016 Family Business Awards, we will be welcoming back Distinction’s involvement in this year’s awards. Given their expertise, Distinction will be sponsoring the Best Use of Digital category in the 2017 Family Business Awards. In addition, we are also working on a secret project together… all will be revealed in due course!
